Los Angeles – Launching a major motor show in the week that the so-called ‘Big Three’ US carmakers – General Motors, Ford and Chrysler – went to Washington to plead for a $25bn government cash bail-out to stay in business made the usual motorshow razzamatazz seem a little inappropriate for the 2009 LA Auto Show.
