By nature, pop-ups can be incongruous invaders in their temporary locales. The not-for-profit Ridley’s restaurant, which occupied a corner plot in Dalston’s Ridley Road Market in September 2011, aimed to be the opposite – a pop-up strongly tied to its location and to the past.
